About this blog

Ricksha or Rickshaw : “The rickshaw began as a two or three-wheeled passenger cart, called a pulled rickshaw, generally pulled by one man with one passenger. The first known use of the term was in 1887. Over time, cycle rickshaws, also called pedicabs, auto rickshaws, electric rickshaws and solar rickshaws were invented. Auto rickshaws are a common means of public transportation in many countries in the world. Also known as a three-wheeler, samosa, tempo, tuk-tuk, trishaw, autorick, bajaj, rick, tricycle, mototaxi, baby taxi or lapa in popular parlance, an auto rickshaw is a usually three-wheeled cabin cycle for private use and as a vehicle for hire. It is a motorized version of the traditional pulled rickshaw or cycle rickshaw.”

On to the contents of this blog.  We’re a couple, H (aka the long haired one) and R (the bald headed one), who at the end of 2014 decided to take a break from the rat race, take a few months to discover the wonderful country we live in and “reboot” to re-energize ourselves.  Both of us have been working in the IT industry for 30-odd years with not much personal time taken off to treat ourselves.  Both of us were action junkies in the not so distant past.  But careers, dedication to the job, which included a recent 2 and half year stint of doing 18 hour days, 7 days a week working in Saudi Arabia, ruled our lives.

So we decided what the heck, its go bAbout-Blog-picig or go home time, we must change our lifestyles or end up in early graves by doing what we’ve been doing for the last 3 decades.  To help us in our mission, or more aptly put, “motivate  us to embrace a new lifestyle”, we decided to buy a 5th wheel RV trailer and start doing what we like doing – Adventure, Travel, Photography, Food and hopefully find Life and enjoy Family again.

This blog documents our adventures as we embark on a somewhat unfamiliar journey to find our roots again.
